Andrew, I don’t even have a way to describe all the feelings these evoked. As I was groping for words, your two muses appeared and made my heart even fuller.
Please write and post more. These are beautiful.

It’s been a minute, Jay! Thanks for the note and for reading and remembering.
I am deeply moved, gently jolted into an heightened awareness, an appreciation of the croissant I am about to consume. All because of these beautiful words that touched me so much first thing this morning and made me feel more here, more connected, more alive. This effect that poetry is supposed to have but rarely happens for me. But it just did – for 27 pages. Thank you. And well done for this record of your heart.
I so enjoyed reading your poetry, Andrew. Thanks so much for posting them. What a wonderful way to start my day.
Thanks for your kind words, Nancy!
AKR,
I think you know how I feel about your poetry/ these poems: they’re stunning, lovely, visual, luscious in their brevity. It’s even more fun knowing the context , allowing you ol’ Ma to learn about you and the outstanding person you are. As I’ve said to you many times…, thank you for gracing me with your presence in my life, for picking me to be your mom!❤️❤️🥰
Thanks so much, Andrew – love hearing about your parenting – part of me wishes I could do it all over again, better, smarter, more intensely aware. But, another part is so happy he’s so happy, a grown man, who leaves for India in about a week, exploring Jaipur all on his own. He makes music on the daily, and loves the rich artist life he has created, though he still includes us all the time, loving and funny and kind to us and himself.
He’s was part of your adventure and now he’s begun one of many for himself! Thanks for sharing, Cheryl. And for reading 🙂
